Music Fest
Music Fest is a lively, two-day event that brings together students from different charter schools for the opportunity to participate as a part of a traditional band, jazz band, orchestra or choir. These young musicians range in experience from intermediate to advanced. Both days consist of practice in small sectionals and large ensembles where our young musicians work hard to learn and grasp new music. The sectionals and large ensembles are led by talented music teachers from all over Philadelphia. The event culminates in a final performance on the stage of First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School for families and community members.
MUSIC Fest is free to all participating students thanks to our many generous sponsors. Students receive meals for both days, performance shirts, commemorative bags, pins and watch a special performance at no cost to them.
The goal of the American Paradigm Schools’ Music Fest program is to provide charter school students the opportunity to work together as a community of musicians and to nurture a life-long love of music that will enhance other areas of their lives.
