F.A.Q.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does my waiting list number mean?
Your waiting list number indicates your place in the waiting list. As space avails, students will be invited to enroll in the order of their waiting list numbers.

How long will I be on the waiting list before I get in?
As openings occur, applicants on the waiting list are called. There is often no way to predict exactly when an opening will occur. Students stay on the waiting list for one year. Interested students still on the waiting list at the end of the school year must apply online for the grade during the open application period.

Can I transfer my child into Tacony Academy ?
Applicants on the waiting list have preference over any late applicants. In the rare event there is an opening and no waiting list, it is possible to move quickly through the application and enrollment process.

I already have a student at Tacony Academy. How do I get my other child into Tacony ?
All eligible students must complete the application process. Students invited to enroll are selected by lottery, which assigns preference to students with siblings currently enrolled at Tacony Academy.

What should I do if I do not know if my student will be promoted to High School grades? What grade should we apply for?
Candidates for admission are required to apply for the grade level they expect to enroll in at the time of admission.
