Family support during testing season
Families play an important role in helping students feel prepared, calm, and confident.
Ways families can help
- Encourage attendance and on-time arrival during testing windows.
- Help students get enough sleep and eat breakfast before testing.
- Review school reminders about approved materials and device rules.
- Use posted practice links so students feel comfortable with online tools.
- Reach out to the school early with questions about supports or accommodations.
Students receiving intervention or MTSS support
- Keep routines steady and continue the academic supports recommended by teachers, intervention staff, or counselors. Testing season is a good time to stay closely connected to the school team.
- Ensure students are completing their digital program requirements and recommendations such as Lexia Core5 or PowerUp, Zearn or Happy Numbers, IXL or Khan Academy as recommended by their teachers!
