Meal Program<\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_width=”grid”][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text css=””]First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School has been approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) site. This means that all students are entitled to a\u00a0free breakfast and lunch<\/u>\u00a0without the requirement of completing lunch applications. Students do not need to bring food to school, unless there is medical need.<\/p>\n

In the event that a student wishes to pack a lunch, healthy packed lunches are\u00a0<\/u>permitted in the school building. These lunches should qualify as nutritious according to the Pennsylvania Department of Education\u2019s Division of Food and Nutrition Program.<\/p>\n

Students who bring lunches that do not follow these healthy guidelines, will be given the opportunity to eat the school lunch. School staff will contact the parent\/guardian to discuss the concerns.<\/p>\n

Please do not<\/u> include the following food:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
\u00b7 Candy<\/td>\n\u00b7 Glass Bottle or containers<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00b7 Gum<\/td>\n\u00b7 Containers that are difficult for your Student to open<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00b7 Fast Food<\/td>\n\u00b7 Containers that easily leak or spill<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
\u00b7 Soda<\/td>\n\u00b7 Food that must be heated or refrigerated<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
