Music Fest

MUSIC Fest (Music Unites Students in Charter schools) is a lively, two-day event that brings together students from different charter schools for the opportunity to participate as a part of a band, orchestra or choir.  These young musicians, ranging from intermediate to advanced, first practice in small sectionals and large ensembles, working hard to learn and grasp new music. The sectionals and large ensembles are led by talented music teachers from all over Philadelphia.  The band, orchestra and choir then put on a performance on the stage of First Philadelphia Preparatory Charter School for their families and local community members.

The goal of the American Paradigm Schools’ Music Fest program is to provide charter school students the opportunity to work together as a community of musicians and to nurture a life-long love of music that will enhance other areas of their lives.

MUSIC Fest, now in its 7th year, is free to all participating students thanks to our many generous sponsors. Students receive meals for both days, performance shirts, commemorative bags, pins and watch a special performance at no cost to them.
